So there are multiple cities within the Earth Kingdom and the Fire Nation Colonized those cities for 100 years, so there are a few generations of Fire Nation people within the Earth Kingdom colonies
The fire nation claimed the earth kingdom and all the people in it, and all those who opposed and all were previously were either imprisoned, exiled, or executed. The common people were just incorporated into the fire nation and forced into the ways of the fire nation’s culture
I love season 3 because it attempts to undo the horrible bias against the Fire Nation that was heavily pushed in the first 2 seasons. In the 2nd episode we saw the propaganda and lies taught to the children about the attack on the Air Nomads, in this season we see the day to day life in a kind Fire Nation village, and we learn more in future episodes. I believe that the only reason Sokka does not care to help them is because of his deep biased hatred (aka racism) against the Fire Nation.
Water benders can’t bend lave, only earthbender.
